Happy Easter!

Easter started with the usual egg hunt & eating treats from the basket. Cameron saw something he liked hidden under the piano:

Yup, it's a ball! (Notice he's still wearing his HoHo aka Santa pj's? Anyone who leaves him presents is his idol! Too bad he didn't get any bunny ones...)

Sorry folks, this is the best pic I got of all three together.

But Brian made up for it later by taking these gorgeous ones while the kids played outside:

After a huge brunch the kids got to see Baby Luke for the first time!

Easter Crafts

My Mom & Dad have hosted Easter Brunch for as long as I can remember. This year, they asked if the kids would help make napkin rings for each guest. Of course, they jumped at the chance.

Everything came in a kit and all they had to do was attach faces, hands and feet to the rings with little sticky circles.

Once they got the hang of it, the older kids made them silly - like waving and tap dancing.

Ice Cream Social - 50s style!

Austin has been counting the days until his best buddy Santiago (Yuli's brother) would be down for a visit. He was delighted when he found out he & his parents would be coming for a visit. He is such a sweet boy, and we really love having him around.
Since her parents and little brother were coming for a weekend visit, Jenn & I were called upon to design a special kids party to celebrate Yuli's birthday. Naturally we went over the top with a party we've been dying to do- a 50s soda shop inspired ice cream party!

We started by making soda-jerk hats and bow ties for the boys, and poodle skirts & scarves for the girls.

Dinner was hot dogs & hamburgers served up with style.

Later we had yummy cheesecake while Yuli opened her gifts, then hit up the sundae and root beer float bars.

I am in love with this picture. They actually posed like this themselves!

Happy Birthday Yuli! Thanks for letting us play such a special role!
